Stewart Lee - comedian, playwright, director, genius, once deemed the voice of 90s youth culture - can currently be seen in his first solo TV show, Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle, on BBC2.

Following on from the phenomenal success of last year’s Best Ever Stand Up tour, and on the back of the immensely successful BBC2 Comedy Vehicle TV series, Stewart returns with a brand new live tour.

Stewart began stand-up in 1988, winning the Hackney Empire new act of the year award in 1990. During the 1990s he contributed to various BBC Radio comedy shows, including Fist of Fun and On The Hour, with Steve Coogan and Chris Morris, and co-created four series’ for BBC2 with fellow comedian Richard Herring.

He also directed the Mighty Boosh’s breakthrough Edinburgh show, Arctic Boosh, in 1999, and Simon Munnery’s Golden Rose Of Montreux nominated BBC2 show, Attention Scum, in 2000.
