Bright light seen in sky

UFOA Shropshire Star reader said he was astonished to see a bright, orange light moving across the Telford sky.

David Scurr spotted the object yesterday, at about 5pm, from Silkin Way, Bratton.

And he is asking whether any other Star readers spotted anything. He said: “I saw a very strange, orange light in the sky to the east. 

“It began like a bright orange ball of flame and at first I thought it was a flare.”

Mr Scurr said he had never seen an orange flare before and the light appeared to be climbing whereas flares fell after the initial launch.

He added: “It moved similar to an aircraft but there was no noise and I see plenty of aircraft around here.

    i saw a similar thing on sunday nite over shrewsbury, it kept moving in and out of the cloud line at about 2000 feet altitude. something is going on for definate!

    On christmas eve we saw seven orange lights in arow. the children in the street thought it was santa and ran to bed!! we suspect they were fire lanterns.

    i saw something similar on new years eve at around midnight. a bright light shot upwards into the sky at a high speed, then it disappeared and out of nowhere there were suddenly lots of lights drifting gently downwards. this was accompanied by a loud bang. something is going on for definate!

    The firework lanterns are exactly as described. They are a large paper lantern shape with an orange fire in the middle. We have a lot of them set off here in the Caribbean. They silently move across the sky for about ten to fifteen minutes before they die out. It gave me a shock the first time I saw them as I could not believe that they could last for so long and fly so far. They make no sound and reach great heights. They fly in whatever the direction the wind takes them. The chinese, in particular set them off around new year time.

    have you all tried not drinking to much, theres nothing out there, well not in our solor system. if there was the goverment would have found it. Could be the Americans and there Stargate, HA HA HA.
