
Thanks for the memories. These are the staff of FW Woolworth, Wellington, who were photographed at the rear entrance to the store before going on a trip to Cadbury’s in 1950.
This picture came to us from Mrs E Bates, who recalled that every working day “began with a smile and ended in laughter”.

I remember the coronation in 1953………in other words H.R.H. was not yet queen and therefore, not a reigning monarch.
