Who is this gentleman immortalised in a photo looking towards The Wrekin of about 100 years ago? Perhaps he was just a passerby who agreed to pose for the photographer.
This postcard was franked at Wellington on July 28 and although the year is difficult to read, it is 0 something, so we are looking at the first decade of the 20th century.
The message was: “Dear Mr and Mrs Goodall, I was delighted to receive a card from the land of my birth. Wishing you both every happiness and a pleasant holiday with love, from yrs truly, B. Jeffries.”
It was posted to Mr and Mrs Goodall, of 86 Harcourt St, Dublin.

I remember the coronation in 1953………in other words H.R.H. was not yet queen and therefore, not a reigning monarch.
However, nice photo and thanks for sharing it.
