A pregnant woman was today robbed at knifepoint in Shrewsbury by youths wearing hooded tops who stole her handbag.
The attack was one of three similar incidents in the same area, which police believe were carried out by the same people, between about midnight and 12.20am.
The victim, who is six months pregnant, had just parked her car in Percy Street, Greenfields when she was approached by two males in their late teens to early 20s.
Police said they demanded she hand over any valuables, threatening her with what appeared to be a knife.
She gave them her handbag and they ran off.
The victim then raised the alarm.
It is believed they were part of a larger group of four, who also threatened the occupants of two other cars at around the same time.
The group, all in hooded tops, approached a woman parking her car in nearby Greenfield Street and tried to smash the window and open the car doors, but were unsuccessful.
And at the entrance to Glendower Court, a man and woman in a car were also approached by what is believed to be the same group, who again tried to open the doors and banged on the windows.
The youths, all white and believed to be in their late teens to mid-20s, made off around the back of Greenfields, towards The Maltings.
