Early start for Shrews Wembley bid

Shrewsbury Town FCShrewsbury Town’s promotion push takes a back seat tonight as Paul Simpson’s side bid to move within three matches of a Wembley final.

That will be the prize up for grabs at the Prostar Stadium (7pm) when Town entertain League Two rivals Dagenham & Redbridge in the southern area quarter- final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Town will be hoping their scintillating home form will continue against a side just three places below them in the League table.

    A good cup run can be a pleasant and confidence booster away from the trawl of league points but we must remember not to be complacent. Lets start from the blocks in a positive attack minded fashion ensuring that the daggers are on the back foot from the off. Good luck tonight Shrews
