Town stay in top pack

Shrewsbury Town remain firmly amongst the League Two promotion chasers after a comfortable 3-0 triumph over Luton at the Prostar Stadium.

The victory took Town up one position into fifth place and now just two points adrift of leaders Darlington.

But it is a congested top of the table with the top 10 teams separated by just four points.

The League table will become less of a concern for manager Paul Simpson over the next week as he prepares his team for a cup double header.

They host Dagenham & Redbridge tomorrow in the southern area quarter final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy before making the long trip to Blyth Spartans on Saturday in round one of the FA Cup.

  • Town reporter James Garrison is banned from the Prostar Stadium and speaking to staff to provide a report of the game.

Isn’t it about time the Star stopped acting like children and doing the spitting dummies bit. I for one am sort of getting fed up to hear that the Star have been banned from speaking to the town. We all know it, you’ve said it enough times, lets start acting like adults and find a way of rebuilding the necessary bridge. Thats from a life long town and SS person.

JG might be banned but the SS isn’t, so just send someone else. Stop behaving like a spoilt child SS! You are better than that.

When you consider all the problems in world today, is’nt this tiff between the Town and the Shropshire Star all a bit childish and silly.
Both sides should get out a bit and then they may realise how stupid they both look.
I think both sides should apologise and let normal service resume.

Come on the Shropshire Star you may consider that you are the wronged party, even so break the stalemate and go the the club and apologise.
Life is too short to bear a grudge.

Simple solution: send JG to the Buck’s Head and the Buck’s Head reporter to the Prostar.

Just stop acting like school playground children.
