Telford Tigers star James Knight was in the thick of the action last night when he lined up for an old fashioned ice hockey brawl with Milton Keynes Lightning player James Archer.
The pair circled each other with fists drawn for several seconds before clashing the second period of the clash at Telford Ice Rink.
The game - which Telford won after a penalty shootout - almost ended in violence when Lightning netminder Barry Hollyhead remonstrated with match-winner Claude Dumas.
So what sparked the controversy last night?

Why is it, right, that when I “line up” for a good “old fashioned” brawl in Oakengates, the coppers always want to nick me, but when it is two respectbull hokey players, it is OK? This is unfair. May be, right, I shuld go to Oakengates with a hokey stick to bash peeps - then the coppers will not nick me any more.

Why is it that this is glamourised, but when your boys had their butts kicked by Swindon earlier in the season there were nothinbg but complaints!

Because Swindon were too busy jumping Telford unlike this fight between Knight and Archer!!!!!
