Telford’s penalty appeals dismissed

AFC Telford United were looking to take all three points when they welcomed Workington to the New Bucks Head.

Rob Smith’s men, however, were denied an early penalty after Liam Blakeman was brought down in the area.

Fans and players were united in their protests but all appeals were waved away by the referee.

But were those appeals justified?
