Floods worry as county barriers go up

The threat of flooding has returned to Shropshire after a weekend of heavy rain.

Flood barriers have been erected along the River Severn in a bid to protect surrounding towns from the worst of the conditions.

It is just over a year since floods devastated much of the country – and emergency services are taking no chances.
