Laura shining at Shrewsbury

Laura RobsonLaura Robson will be centre of attention at the Welti Tennis Centre tonight as she takes on Israeli Tzipi Obziler in the quarter-finals of the Shrewsbury 75,000 dollar event.

The 14-year-old Londoner is expected on court one in Sundorne at around 6pm, looking to progress to the last four in her first UK professional tournament.

Robson, Wimbledon junior champion earlier this year, beat Poland’s Urszula Radwanska, 17, yesterday.

That proved a notable scalp with Radwanska winning the junior Wimbledon title in 2007, and reaching the second round of the main draw this year before losing to Serena Williams.
