A Shropshire bookshop - believed the narrowest in the country - has been put up for sale.
The Book Passage, in High Street, Bridgnorth, is on the market with a price tag of £15,000 plus stock.
The shop, which is no more than six feet wide, is based in an alleyway of an old coaching inn which used to lead to the stables at the back of the building.
It is one of the most well-known shops in Bridgnorth town centre.
It is regularly packed with people squeezing past each other as they browse the shelves.
The owner, David Lamont, is putting it on the market after nearly 10 years of selling books to townsfolk and visitors.
Mr Lamont, a former social worker who worked for the council for more than 20 years before becoming a bookseller, said the shop was a great business opportunity.
“There’s nothing like it anywhere else,” Mr Lamont said.
“I’ve been to bookshops all around the country and have never found anything like it.
“It’s been a fascinating place to work.
“It’s a well-established business which has been in the town for about 15 years and you get to meet some really nice customers, most of who have an interesting story to tell.
“It’s a nice place to watch the world go by and selling books really is a pleasure.
“I’m selling it after nine years because I want to move on and do something else. The days of just selling books is long gone which is why I’ve started to sell albums and guitar strings.
“It would suit someone with loads of imagination and new ideas.
“It’s got so much potential and it’s just waiting for the right person to bring it out,” he added.
“I’ve already had a couple of inquiries and it would make a great business opportunity for someone.”
