Sponsored by Business Link in the West Midlands and Telford and Wrekin Council, the event has been created by Shropshire Enterprise Partnership,
The Entrepreneurs Summit, at Fusion in Jackfield, comprises the enterprise element of this campaign to celebrate the region’s innovators, titled A Celebration of Imagination.
Fay Easton, project director with Shropshire Enterprise Partnership, said: “There was a massive surge of start-up businesses during the last economic crisis and many of those fledgling businesses have not only survived but flourished.
“This one-day summit aims to inspire those who face redundancy or life-changing situations and will show just how enterprise success can be achieved.
“Telford and Shropshire are wonderful places for small businesses and the business support available is developing rapidly as the area evolves as a hotspot for innovative, start-up businesses.”
Fay said the theme of “imagination” runs throughout the event which celebrates risk-taking, visionary beings who use their powers of imagination to great business effect.
