Llanymynech Church and Hill - 1920sThis undated view of Llanymynech Church and Hill is from a postcard loaned to us by Mrs Diana Humphreys of Maesbrook. The 1920s, maybe?

Llanymynech Hill has been suggested in recent years as the site for the last stand of the historical British chieftain Caractacus against the Roman invaders, which has never been positively identified.

However, there are plenty of other claimants too.

    I don’t reconize anyone in the photo but I wonder if we have the same family connections, my great grandfather William Hughes from Welshpool married Sara Davies from Buttington. Their son Harry born 1904 was my grandfather.
