A recent photo in Pictures From The Past showing staff at RAF High Ercall in the 1950s prompted a Shropshire lad, Clifford Williams - who these days lives at Verwood, Dorset - to e-mail this photo, which was also taken at the base, around 1955 or 1956.
Mr Williams says it shows all trades who were in the jet hangar which was known as B shed. They are in front of a Venom aircraft.
“You can see the Group Captain made sure his dog went with him,” he says.

I don’t reconize anyone in the photo but I wonder if we have the same family connections, my great grandfather William Hughes from Welshpool married Sara Davies from Buttington. Their son Harry born 1904 was my grandfather.
