The Bucks beat Trinity 2-1 in a Blue Square North clash on Saturday, but it will be a different side that take to the field for the cup tie.

Young striker Jarred Stevens is primed for his first start in a Telford shirt, while Lee Moore will partner him up front. Lee Vaughan and Asa Charlton are both set to feature in the defence.

Club staff are confident the game will go ahead despite another day of heavy rain, and Smith insists the changes should not be interpreted as a lack of interest in the competition.

“These players are as good as anybody else in the squad and whatever side we put out will be good enough,” Smith declared.

“It’s a chance for them to stake a claim for a place and, in some ways, the side might be refreshing tonight.

“I don’t think I’m talking out of turn if I say the league is our priority, but every cup we enter we want to do well in.”

Striker Andy Brown will definitely miss tonight’s clash after being involved in a car crash on the way back from Saturday’s game.

Brown and team-mate Emeka Nwadike skidded into the central reservation on the M54, but escaped serious injury – the forward reporting a stiff neck.

Meanwhile, chairman Lee Carter has been delighted by the state of the New Bucks Head pitch and insists there is no threat to the game going ahead.

Admission is £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and £1 for under-16s.
