The video, created by Devon Sloan, includes a slide show of photographs showing Kirstie, who was affectionately known by friends as Kirk, at her happiest times, along with her beloved horses and dogs.

It has been published on videosharing website YouTube.

Alongside a photograph of the talented rider’s rosettes, Devon said: “Always was and will be a winner.”

Other tributes on the video include: “You were devoted to your horses, you loved them so much and you were an amazing horse rider.”

Devon said: “Our hearts are empty now you are not here. Every time we think of you we shed a tear. It’s hard to believe that you are gone but in our heart is where you belong.

“RIP you are in our hearts forever. Love you Kirstie.

“See you at the gates. Sleep tight angel.”

Other friends said the emotional video had left them in tears. One said: “Rest in peace angel, your dad was a sick man.”

Another viewer said: “A beautiful human being. You can see the care and love she showed towards the animals and her love of life. I am in tears.

“A very moving and emotional tribute, that welled up emotions at the loss of a young, pretty talented girl who had so much to do and live for.”

Another added: “It saddens me a great deal this life was cruelly taken from her when she was so young. In our hearts forever.”

Kirstie’s page on social networking website Bebo has been inundated with messages from her school and chatroom friends.

One of her best friends, Zoe, said: “I love you so much and just wanted to say I will never forget everything we did.”

This is so desperately sad and my heart really goes out to Kirstie’s family and friends.

The tribute is beautiful and it’s nice to see Kirstie had a happy life, she always seemed to be smiling and I’m sure her friends will miss her deeply.

What also really saddened me is the pictures of the animals - such beautiful horses and dogs. Such a tragedy.
