Shrewsbury Folk Festival was in its third day today, with organisers hailing the event a great success.
Hundreds of campers and visitors from all over the country enjoyed a day of folk music, crafts, circus skills, food and drink at the West Mid Showground in Berwick Road.
Today’s line-up included John Wesley Harding, the New Rope String Band and The Demon Barbers, with the finale being a music and song session in the members’ bar from 8pm.
The bar was hit by a small fire yesterday morning in a fusebox. Organisers said they hoped to continue with the programme without too much disruption.
