The 2008 V Festival at Weston Park attracted all the usual suspects - and nobody was disappointed.
The event, which attracted over 80,000 fans, featured acts including Muse, The Verve, Amy Winehouse and Girls Aloud.
Our video team was there to capture some of the more unusual sights as festival-goers competed for the title of wackiest outfit.

Actually, I was quite disappointed. The customers (festival goers) were treated as usual with complete contempt by the organisers.
On Sunday, the event started an hour late with everyone kept behind a huge fence like intensively reared animals. Once in, all the first acts on the various stages were canceled without any announcement from the authorities which led to huge confusion and disappointment.
The few quality caterers of previous years have been driven away by sky high pitch fees and awful treatment by organisers and now the only food options are burgers, pizza, hot dogs and potato wedges (ie the cheapest possible ingredients at the greatest possible margins).
The festival security was surly at best, the toilets were hopelessly inadequate leading to hundreds of both men and women urinating along the perimeter fencing, the site was an absolute swamp with nowhere to sit down and to top everything off the sound quality at the two main stages was just not good enough.
As someone who attends festivals regularly it is a sad state of affairs when hugely wealthy organisations like Richard Branson’s make no attempt to create a welcoming, friendly and value for money environment leaving it instead to the many smaller cash-strapped festivals to take up the slack.
Smaller is better, it’s time to look elsewhere.
