Shifnal quick bowler Adam Shimmons has been added to the Shropshire squad for the final game of the Minor Counties season at Devon this weekend.
Shimmons joins the XI on duty in the last outing at Wales for the western division championship finale at Instow which gets underway at Sunday.
Shropshire find themselves in sixth position, with victory likely to see them finish the season in the top half of the table.
“We are playing for a bit of pride,” said chairman of selectors Trevor Sheperd.
“Devon haven’t had the best of seasons but they are a good side and playing against the better teams usually brings the best out of us.”
