Shrewsbury Town fans could be forgiven for their rosy outlook after Saturday’s 4-0 win over Macclesfield in League Two.
Following a struggle against relegation last season, Town made the best possible start at the newly-named Prostar Stadium.
Some supporters pointed to the performance of manager Paul Simpson’s summer signings as the club collected all three points.
Take a look at out exclusive video to find out what the fans were thinking as they poured out of the ground at full time.

Yes, but forgive my cynicism, we started off with a blinder last season as well, then lack of everything, will, committment, skill, passion and everything that makes a winning team was missing and look where we ended up, lucky to be where we are today.
I have followed the town since the Midland League days and have long ago got used to their inconsistencies, let’s wait until mid-season before we get to excited.
Fair comment Stuart, Ive followed them that amount of time and have received some shocking results when we expected more but we can’t be negative for ever, lets give them our full support, expect and get better this season, it will happen.
UP THE TOWN
we’re going to win the league!
I think it’s too early to make predictions about what position in the table Town will end the season at. Remember last season we started with a 4-0 victory too, followed by a good run through the Autumn, only to end up 18th by the end of the season due to a downturn that began around Christmas.
To true Harry, loyalty, enthusiasm and support through thick and thin is all well and good, but the way things were going last season stretched the fans goodwill to the limit. The directors/Manager should be aware that some of the things that they demand of fans is a reciprocal thing and they should realise that they must give something back as well. As you say it is to early to make predictions or to get over excited at this stage, there is a long time and many games ahead.
