Plans have been submitted for a satellite dish and aerial on flats in the shadow of in a bid to bring back TV signals lost after the development started.
The multi-million pound development in Frankwell was confirmed as being the cause of signal problems for some properties in the area after an investigation found it was blocking the reception.
Shrewsbury and Atcham Borough Council says 14 flats in two buildings in Frankwell have been affected.
But Leela Cottey, assistant project manager for the authority, said plans had now been submitted for a satellite dish to be fixed to 120 - 123 Frankwell while occupants in 136 will be boosted by a new high gain aerial.
It comes after an independent expert was called in to test properties after receiving complaints from people who said their signal was affected.
The huge theatre, which is currently being built, stands between the block of flats and the Wrekin transmitter.
Miss Cottey said: “There are two properties, one of eight flats and one of six flats, that need assistance to get better TV reception.
“We’ve applied to put a satellite dish on one of them for Free Sat which has the same channels as Freeview but comes via a satellite.
“On the other property we just need to put a better aerial on. Because it’s a conservation area we have got to apply for planning permission on both of those.”
