A new clubhouse at a Bridgnorth bowling club is rising like a phoenix from the flames one year after the old building was razed to the ground in an arson attack.
Now members plan to eat their Christmas dinner in the new building.
The construction of the new clubhouse at Bylet Bowling Club, in Severn Street, is well under way.
The foundations have been laid and the shell has started to take shape and has reached window level.
Club members hope the shell will be completed by September and have started making plans to hold a Christmas dinner in the building to celebrate its construction.
They were left devastated last August after thieves broke into the clubhouse and targeted a wall safe.
Although they only made off with £222, police believe the thieves started the fire which totally gutted the old clubhouse.
Members have now raised almost £20,000 to pay for the new building.
