Shrewsbury Town manager Paul Simpson is looking forward to the new League Two campaign after completing his pre-season preparations with a 1-0 defeat at home to Barclays Premiership Stoke City.
Simpson, who joined the club last season and arguably saved them from relegation, wants a renewed effort this campaign in a bid to launch a promotion drive.
He was joined by Stoke boss Tony Pulis, who used Saturday’s match to review his squad as they prepare for their first top-flight season in 23 years.
Check back here tomorrow for exclusive video highlights from Saturday’s match.

I would rather that Paul had said he was satisfied with the pre season results, but good on yer Paul if all the teams were playing to their full potential we did pretty well, all the best for the season ahead.
