Members of the Home Guard were joined by British regiments, Women’s Land Army and German soldiers in a Resistance Weekend event organised by Telford-based 20th Century Revisited.

The group, which has members from all over the country, puts on displays portraying freedom fighters, servicemen and women and civilians during a period of world conflict between 1920 and 1945.

Hundreds of re-enactment fans set up camp at the Maws Craft Centre, Jackfield, and the nearby Boat Inn. Members of the public were able to find out about life in the Second World War, with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
