New farm site plans

Controversial plans for travellers to live on farmland near Ludlow will go before planners again next week.

Farmer Tom Evans, of Ashford Carbonell, has applied to South Shropshire District Council to have a 10-pitch site on his land.

There have been 29 objections to the proposals and one letter of support. Last year a planning inquiry resulted in only two families being permitted to stay.

Councillors are set to make a decision at a meeting at Ludlow Town Football Club, Bromfield Road, on Wednesday at 2pm.
