Caersws stalwart and Wales semi-professional international striker Graham Evans has signed for Welsh Premier rivals Aberystwyth Town.
The marksman has been a key component for the Bluebirds, twice winning the Welsh Premier’s golden boot award, while he lies fourth on the league’s all-time list with 146 goals.
Having been a consistent scorer with his home village side since making his debut in 1995, Evans’ loss will be a big blow as the Bluebirds bid to improve their fortunes this time around following last season’s struggles
A Welsh Schools under-18 who is the son of ex-Caersws manager Mike Evans, the forward spent two seasons on contract with Aston Villa.
He also had a spell at Hereford United, then moved to TNS before returning to the Bluebirds where he top-scored last season with 10 goals.Meanwhile, Rhyl’s hopes of InterToto Cup progress faded in Dublin as Bohemians ran riot in the second half to emerge 5-1 first leg winners.
