Wellington win a thriller

Wellington chased down a nine-an-over target to progress in the Wem 2nd XI knockout with a five wicket victory over St Georges.

Chris Waldron blazed to 112 in the 20 over contest on a lightning fast Orleton Park ground last night, Ben Byram adding 39 as the Dragons reach 178-3.

But a quickfire 83 from Warwick Vaughan and 40 from the experienced Dave Street took the hosts to 179-5 with three balls to spare.
