Cricket knockout gets under way

Two Birmingham Midshires League sides will be hoping to avoid upsets when cricket’s Chronicle Knockout gets underway tonight.

Division two outfit Newport make the trip to Marston’s Shropshire Premier League outfit Much Wenlock in one of four preliminary round ties.

And Oswestry, who are struggling at the foot of Birmingham League division three after their promotion last season, will be hoping for some much needed cheer when they head to close rivals Newtown.

Elsewhere, Broseley play host to Albrighton and Madeley entertain Quatt in the other Chronicle KO ties.

The matches will be 20 overs-per-side and are scheduled to get underway at 6.30pm.

Newport won in a stroll against Wenlcok. Century from Rasika will hopefully lift everyones spirits.

A game against Wellington now and hopefully Rajat Bhatia if he arrives and signs for Wellington.

If he signs???? He already has. It will be like a re-union for a few Wellington boys… Raj included so will no doubt be a good game.

Looks like Rajat has been selected for the Emerging Players squad for India in Isreal. Think this goes on in July.
    Will he arrive ?
