Care received on Ward outstanding

LETTER: I am not a spring chicken at 79 years old. I have been a patient on several wards at the Princess Royal Hospital and they were all very good; however, Ward 15 was outstanding.

What newspapers say about hospitals is not true on Ward 15 - things mentioned like patient choices, feeding the elderly, MRSA and allergies, hand washing care etc.

Right from the cleaners to housekeeping staff, from the ward clerk to the nursing staff, from OTS to physios and to the woman who does several jobs - an invention by Ward 15 and the only one in the hospital, or maybe in any hospital, I don’t know.

She is the back-up to this wonderful team of staff. You will find laughter and smiles and a few tears on Ward 15, but most of all care by a wonderful team of people. Thank you.
