Under-threat High Street chain Ethel Austin, which has three stores in Shropshire, has won a reprieve.
The future of the clothing stores in Wellington, Oswestry and Market Drayton was in doubt after the firm went into liquidation.
A spokesman said 17 stores had been reprieved after the company was bought out.
