A new multi-million pound development creating an extra floor and scores of jobs at a Telford supermarket was unveiled today.
Young ice hockey player Saffron Allen was chosen to cut the ribbon to officially open the mezzanine at Asda’s Donnington Wood store.
The 13-year-old, from Broseley, is being supported by Asda with a £500 annual bursary until the summer of 2013.
The £12 million extension has led to more than 30 new jobs and shoppers were queueing out of car parks for the launch today.
