Crash victim is identified

A motorcyclist who died on a Mid Wales road at the weekend was today named as Peter Cannon.

Mr Cannon, a 44-year-old motor mechanic, of Winson Green, Birmingham, died when his machine crashed on the A483 between Newtown and Dolfor on Sunday, just before 11am.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicle is believed to have been involved.

An inquest has been opened and adjourned to a date to be fixed by Powys coroner Peter Maddox.
