Young man’s body found in road

One man said he had seen ambulances driving away from the scene early this morning, but had no idea what had happened. West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman John Hawker said paramedics were called to reports of a man lying in the road. He added: “We were called at 5.45am by a member of the public. We attended but nothing could be done to save him. He was confirmed dead at the scene by paramedics.”
