Wolves have released captain Gary Breen and made five more players available for transfer after the club’s play-off failure.
Jay Bothroyd, Rob Edwards, Darren Potter, Darren Ward and Stephen Elliott have been told they can leave the club.
Striker Freddy Eastwood has already been transfer-listed.
Wolves will take up their one-year option on Jody Craddock and are in talks with Michael Gray, who is also out of contract next month.
On-loan Kevin Kyle, Darron Gibson and Graham Stack have returned to Coventry, Manchester United and Reading respectively.
Keith Lowe, who has spent the season on loan at Port Vale, has also been released.
Midfielder Kevin O’Connor will also not be re-engaged but will remain at the club while recovering from a recent hamstring operation.
A one-year option will be taken up with Academy graduate Matt Bailey.
Boss Mick McCarthy has ended a 12-year association with 34-year-old Breen, who he had at Sunderland and the Republic of Ireland.
