Escaping the London rat race

“We were both born and brought up in London and had never really thought of leaving, but suddenly the clean air, the space, no traffic… we were sold!

“We returned to London and quickly let everything we had and rented a small cottage just outside Shrewsbury.”

Six years later they sold some more property which enabled them to buy Wollaston Lodge at Wollaston. It was a “doer-upper” and over the next five years they transformed it into a contemporary family home which their children Hannah and Guy could grow up in.
