AFC Telford fans were in mixed mood after their side’s 2-0 play-off defeat to Barrow.

The loss, which means they miss out on a place in Friday night’s final, came at the end of a remarkable season for the club.

While there was obvious disappointment, many supporters streaming out of the New Bucks Head yesterday afternoon were already looking forward to a renewed challenge next season.

From a Barrow supporter I would like to say a big thank you to the people of Telford for the warm welcome afforded to us on the visit for the semi-final game. Once the rivalries of the game were over we were touched by the reception given to our team and were priviledged to give the Telford players the applause they deserved. They did you proud.
