Manchester City’s goalkeeper Joe Hart

England Under 21’s and Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart was born in Shrewsbury. He attended Oxon Primary and Meole Brace Schools until his final year of studies, when he became a substitute for home team Shrewsbury Town and later their 2005-2006 season goalkeeper. Hart moved to Manchester City in 2006 and has since spent time on loan to Tranmere and Blackpool.

    there’s also david preece the footballer? think he might’ve been from bridgnorth but could be wrong…

    In relation to me saying “Mary Webb” i didnt mean in this catogory per sé …. although in saying that, i wouldnt imagine she’d come under the first two either…

    David preece was from Bridgnorth. Superb footballer and great bloke. He very sadly passed away a little while back. RIP.
