Controversial plans to build hunt kennels for up to 80 hounds in north Shropshire have been thrown out.
Proposals for kennels at Greenfields, Ossage Lane, Whixall, for the North Shropshire Hunt were set to go before North Shropshire District Council’s development control committee tomorrow.
But proposals have been rejected by planning officers without even reaching the committee stage, because developers have not submitted enough information.
They also say the kennels would have a negative impact on the landscape.
However, neighbours of the site, who have campaigned against the plans, say they anticipate more plans being submitted.
Pat Hutchinson, who is spearheading the campaign, said: “We are waiting for the next lot of plans now.
“We shall carry on fighting it. We do have quite a lot of research and we will campaign against the kennels.”
