Shropshire home with Kiwi flavour

The home of Jeremy Newbrook and Sarah Pickering has an extra special ingredient - the Kiwi touch. Take the photo gallery tour below.

The lawned rear garden

New Zealander Sarah and her builder partner built their stunning home to include an internal layout more commonly found in New Zealand and Australian homes.

The layout means the property has an open plan, light and airy feel, while another typical feature is having two sets of French doors out to a large deck in the back, landscaped garden.

And a high-ceilinged entrance hall also adds more glamour to the property. This was designed to bring the “maximum feeling of light and space,” said Jeremy.

Nice house as far as big modern British houses go, but take it from THIS Kiwi that there’s very little about this house which is Kiwi! For example, houses in New Zealand which are typically Kiwi usually involve the use of a great deal of native New Zealand timbers. Also, typical New Zealand houses are unashamedly one-storey.

Beautiful home…and it should be for two thirds of a Million Dollars and the description would be more apt described as a Cape Cod style home…
