Heavy rains halt cup finals

This morning’s downpour has forced the postponement of the Shropshire Schools FA’s two cup finals at the New Bucks Head tonight.

Thomas Telford and Meole Brace were due to clash in the Under 15s final followed by the under 18s final between TCAT and Shrewsbury Sixth Form College.

But the heavy rain has left the pitch waterlogged, forcing the postponement of the games.

A provisional date of Tuesday May 6 has been set for the rearranged games at the New Bucks Head.
