AFC Telford fans were looking for their side to secure a spot in the Blue Square North play-offs as they made the trip to Stalybridge.

Rob Smith’s men have faltered in recent weeks, but were in confident mood ahead of the game.

But those celebrations by Telford fans were marred as a mindless minority of home supporters attempted to spoil their day with violence.
