Mark may get title showdown

boxing_gloves.jpgThe English title ambitions of Shropshire boxer Mark Lloyd appear to be back on track.

Lloyd, from Telford, was due to meet Nottingham’s Adnan Amar for the national welterweight title this month on the undercard to Carl Froch’s WBC super-middleweight title eliminator against Russian Denis Inkin.

That bill was postponed due to an illness to Inkin, but it has now been re-scheduled for May 10 at the Nottingham Arena.

Lloyd’s manager Errol Johnson has confirmed contracts for the clash with Amar on that night are due to be exchanged next week.
