Delay warning over traffic works

Motorists could face delays in Bridgnorth next month when part of the town centre is closed off.

Postern Gate, at the end of Bridgnorth High Street, will be out of bounds to traffic on May 11.

A spokesman from Shropshire County Council said the road would be closed while BT lay ducting cables and diversions would be set up.

BT will be on site from 7.30am until 3.30pm.

A council spokesman said: “Postern Gate will be closed on May 11 for one day while BT lay ducting cables. Diversions will be set up.”

North bound traffic will be diverted via West Castle Street, B4363, Underhill Street, Bridge Street, Mill Street, A442, St John Street, Bridge Street, Underhill Street, Hollybush Road, Pound Street, Whitburn Street and High Street.
