There are lots of cheap properties out there, most first time buyers have unrealistic aspirations.

My wife & i have just purchased our first property in February this year, wouldn’t say we had any problems we found out how much a lender would give us then found a house made a offer and the deal was done (it was also a 100% mortgage with the C&G) so it can be done plus at this point in time you’ll find sellers are willing to accept well under the asking price, just look for places that have been on the market for a while
