Could your house be in a film?

Stokesay Court, which was used in the filming of the hit Hollywood movie AtonementTips on how to have your home used as a location by the movie and television industries will be revealed at seminars at two historic Shropshire properties.

The seminars will be held at Stokesay Court in Onibury, near Ludlow, and at Pradoe Hall at West Felton, near Oswestry, which have both featured heavily on the big and small screen.

Stokesay Court was used in the filming of the hit Hollywood movie Atonement, starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy. Pradoe Hall was used to film children’s BBC series Evacuation Manor House.

The seminars have been organised by Enterprise Works, the training arm of the Country Land and Business Association.

They are part of a series of seminars to highlight the business opportunities open to rural properties by working with the movie and television industries.

The seminars will be held on May 8 at Stokesay Court and at Pradoe Hall on June 10.

The seminars will include presentations given by speakers from the film industry, bosses from the National Trust and representatives from the venues. They will describe how filming projects operate.

For further information about the seminars contact Steve Shaw on (01785) 284722.
