Thousands of people across the country today caught a glimpse of the beauty of homes and landscapes in Shropshire during a hit daytime TV show.
Three properties in Shrewsbury featured on BBC One’s To Buy or Not to Buy today as the programme followed a couple from Manchester looking to relocate to the county town. The show is presented by Kristian Digby and Ed Hall.
One of the homes featured in the show was that of Julie Trimby, of Ellesmere Road.
The 33-year-old mother-of-one had placed her semi-detached three bedroom property on the market when she was approached by producers of the TV series through her selling agents Miller Evans. And out of the three homes viewed by the Manchester couple, Julie’s was the one they chose as their favourite. However, almost two months on from the filming of the episode no bid has been received.
Julie said she had decided to put her house up for sale about six months ago after wanting to settle permanently with her partner and their young son in Aston Piggott, near Shrewsbury.
She said she had been more than happy to take part in the show and said it was a great experience even though she had not featured in the programme itself.
Julie said: “How the show works is that they look on the internet for 10 properties that they think the people will like and that matches their criteria.
“They phoned Miller Evans and asked if I would be willing to take part in the show.
“They whittled it down to the three most suitable homes and came and looked at my house.
“The couple were from Manchester and were looking for somewhere within walking distance of the town centre.”
Julie said she hoped the show would give some kudos to her property.
The house is still up for sale with a guide price of £249,995. To view call (01743) 236800.
