Countryside scene captured

“Knowbury road” looking towards Knowbury Church - 1920sThis is the essence of the countryside, isn’t it? This postcard is labelled simply “Knowbury road” and we are looking up the lane towards Knowbury Church, which is near Ludlow.

The photo is somewhat faded unfortunately.

Look closely and (apart from the people, of course) there is something in the lane in the distance, but we can’t make it out.

As so often with these postcard photos, we’re left guessing at the date. About 1920 maybe? If you know better, let us know.
