A disciplinary hearing for a Shropshire police officer in connection with the death of a busker, has cleared him of any wrongdoing.
The two-week hearing against Constable David Walton ended yesterday and found no case to answer.
The hearing at West Mercia Constabulary force headquarters reviewed evidence into how the officer dealt with the arrest of Robert Hall, 42, of Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, who later died from a head injury sustained during detention in 2003.
An inquest had previously found Constable Walton’s actions were reasonable.
