The owner of a Shropshire house smashed into by a car in the early hours of the morning was today assessing the extent of the damage.
Lewis Bennett, 23, was getting a drink from the kitchen yesterday morning at 2.30am when a car smashed through the front of his flat.

He had left his partner Cerrie-Anne Lysaght, 21, asleep in bed when the Ford Mondeo estate car ploughed through his home in Main Road, Dorrington, near Shrewsbury.
The elderly driver of the car escaped with only minor injuries after climbing out of the window of the vehicle.
Another couple, who were spending their first night in the upper floor leasehold of the property were also unhurt.
Mr Bennett said the car had caused significant damage to the house and said he had been told by structural engineers that if it had hit the property six inches to the right it would have hit a supporting wall causing the upper floor bedroom to collapse.
He said he and his partner, who have lived in the house for the past 18 months, would probably have to move out of the property while repairs were carried out.
Mr Bennett said: “It’s caused significant damage but I’ve been told it can be fixed.
“It’s at times like this that I’m really grateful we’ve got home insurance.”
A spokeswoman for West Mercia Police said police contacted the local authority following the accident yesterday, who sent engineers to the site to assess the damage.
